Get Smart (in) Packaging
Scoop in the Belgian packaging world
A network event for the whole Belgian packaging world. That is the approach for a new packaging event during Empack & Packaging Innovations on the first day of the trade show. Initiators are show organizer Easyfairs, Verpakking en Label Magazine from publishing company Roularta in collaboration with Valipac and Fost Plus. This collaboration is not coincidental, as Valipac and Fost Plus have been the organizers of the successful Belgian packaging prize Greener Packaging Award, which has been held every two years until last year. From now on, the Greener Packaging Award is part of a new, more comprehensive packaging price that is experiencing its scoop at the both events in Mechelen: the Get Smart (in) Packaging Award. In addition to Valipac, Fost Plus and Verpakking & Label Magazine, a number of renowned institutions are involved in the organization of Get Smart in Packaging, including the Belgian Packaging Institute (IBE -BVI), Pack4Food, Fetra, Detic and Hasselt University.
Get Smart (in) Packaging has an afternoon and an evening program. In addition, moderator Ben Roelants will smoothly guide the guests through the program. The afternoon program is filled with various interesting speakers from companies and knowledge institutions such as Pack4Food, IBE-BVI, Valipac, Fost Plus, Fetra and dept. Product development from the University of Antwerp. Sustainability runs through the program as a common thread.
